Welcome to artcloud!

artcloud's software is incredibly powerful and trusted by hundreds of galleries, artists, and collectors to manage inventory, client relations, and more. Our goal is to help you efficiently and effectively run your business so you can focus on the things that matter most -- your relationships with artists and clients, and of course the artwork itself.

artcloud doesn't do much without data. The best way to get up and running is to add a little bit of data and see it in action.

The steps below take just a few minutes to go through and will help you get an idea of how artcloud adds value to your business.

Step 1: Activate your free 14-day trial (if you haven't already)

To really see artcloud in action, you'll want to activate your free 14-day trial of artcloud Pro so you can try out the full suite of functionality.

Look at any of the tabs that have Pro next to them, and then click on the Start 14 Day Trial button.

Step 2: Add artwork & an artist

From your artcloud dashboard, follow the prompts to add an artwork.

At a minimum, you should add the following data fields about the artwork:

  • Title
  • Photo
  • Medium
  • Artist - just type the name into the search bar and click Add Artist (be sure to hit save!)

Now you've added your first piece of inventory as well as your first artist -- congratulations!

Note: if you're an artist and have selected the Artist account type, you won't have to add artists to artcloud.

Step 3: Add a client

Next you'll want to add a client. You might even want to add yourself as the client so you can test out the system!

From your dashboard, follow the prompts to add a client or just click on the Contacts tab.

At a minimum, you should add the following fields:

  • First name
  • Email address -- this will come in handy when you get ready to test out artcloud's beautiful tearsheets, mosaics, wall tags, pricelists, and more!

Step 4: Set up your style guide for collateral

With artcloud you can create all kinds of beautiful collateral (invoices, tearsheets, wall tags, certificates of authenticity, and more) to use in your gallery / studio and to send to clients. Best of all, we make it easy for you to customize the collateral to convey your brand and identity.

To really test this out, you'll want to start by adding the logo you'd like to see on your collateral, as well as any font preferences. You can do that from your style guide.

Step 5: Email a tearsheet

Now that you've got your style guide set up, follow the prompts from your artcloud dashboard to email a tearsheet.

Click on the Actions drop-down menu next to any piece of artwork and select Email to Contact.

Then, type in your email address, compose a quick message, and hit send. Check your inbox to see what a tearsheet looks like coming from artcloud.

Pro Tip: the more data you included about the artwork, the more information you'll see on your tearsheet.

What's next?

artcloud also has an integrated, easy-to-use website builder. No more double data entry! Best of all, anyone can manage an artcloud website, no software development experience is necessary.
